Marine Board (HDPE)

Marine Board HDPE, which stands for High Density Polyethylene, is a lightweight and durable thermoplastic that is designed to withstand harsh marine environments. It provides a superior alternative to wood at an affordable price. Resistant to salt water, a wide range of chemicals, and UV exposure, Marine Board HDPE does not splinter, crack, delaminate, rot, swell, or absorb water. It is also virtually maintenance-free even under heavy foot traffic on yacht decks.
Wear Resistance
Marine Board HDPE’s self-lubricating formula and high sliding resistance, combined with excellent long-term durability and weather resistance, make it an ideal marine plastic for replacing wood, metal, or laminate walkways, hatches, cabinetry, countertops, and ship and boat components regularly exposed to harsh outdoor environments.
Textured Surface
In addition to its resistance to marine and outdoor conditions, Marine Board has a decorative, textured surface that does not show wear, dirt, or scratches.
Salt Water and Moisture Resistance
HDPE Marine Board is a lightweight and extremely tough, chemically resistant plastic that does not absorb water. It has good sliding abrasion resistance and specialized self-lubrication. Unlike many other marine-based materials, Marine Board is environmentally stabilized to resist salt water and will not rot or degrade.
